RAM to release new heavy metal album ‘Against’ in October

Swedish heavy metal band RAM has announced the release of their new full-length album, titled ‘Against’, scheduled for October 9 via Metal Blade Records. This marks the band's first full-length release in nearly seven years following ‘The Throne Within’.

Moving away from previous spiritual and metaphysical themes, ‘Against’ adopts a more grounded tone centered on resistance and defiance. The production involved a reunion with longtime collaborator Johan Reiven. Following the sale of their own Black Path Studios, the band recorded at Studio Recordia in Varberg, Sweden.

The recording process utilized a classic approach to achieve an organic sound, drawing inspiration from the early works of Dio, MSG, and Sweet. The band aims to maintain an unpolished, direct sound that avoids modern subgenre categorization.
