Rama Caída firefighters launch fundraising campaign

The Volunteer Firefighters of Rama Caída are launching a solidarity campaign to raise funds for essential operational needs. The main activity is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, at Plaza Francia, where members will sell pasta packages to support the station.

Station Chief Iván Rosales stated that the funds are necessary to cover daily expenses, including electricity, internet, and fuel for emergency vehicles. He also noted the high costs associated with purchasing or maintaining personal protective equipment, suggesting that some of these essential items should be provided by the state. Rosales emphasized that the need to fundraise diverts time and energy away from training and service improvements.
