Ramanan disputes Rafizi Ramli's corporate mafia allegations

Human Resources Minister and Sungai Buloh MP Datuk Seri R Ramanan has questioned the necessity of suing former PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli over allegations involving a RM9.5 million payment from businessman Victor Chin. Ramanan stated that pursuing legal action would merely burden the public, noting that Rafizi has previously lost court cases and subsequently sought public donations to cover financial liabilities.

Ramanan criticized Rafizi for failing to produce evidence to substantiate his claims regarding a corporate mafia after seven months. He characterized Rafizi as a “serial liar” who makes statements without facts.

Separately, the NGO Impak Madani suggested that Rafizi’s focus on corporate mafia issues may be a political tactic to divert attention from a recent controversy involving Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who was detained by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department in a khalwat incident. Nik Nazmi has been suspended from all official party activities for three months.
