Ramayana English version to be shorter and songless for global audiences

Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film, Ramayana: Part One, will feature different edits for international and domestic audiences. Reports indicate that the English-language version will be approximately 30 minutes shorter than the Hindi cut and will not include any songs.

This decision is intended to tailor the cinematic experience for global audiences by providing a more concise runtime and a format more familiar to international theatrical viewers. While the Hindi and other Indian-language versions will retain musical sequences, the English version will omit them entirely.

The two-part saga, produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, reportedly has a combined budget of approximately Rs 4,000 crore. The production involves DNEG for visual effects, and the soundtrack includes work by A. R. Rahman.
