Ramayana film to debut in ScreenX and 4DX formats worldwide

The film “Ramayana,” the first installment of Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part adaptation of the epic, will receive a worldwide release in ScreenX and 4DX formats during Diwali 2026. Through an agreement with CJ 4DPLEX, the film is scheduled to play in nearly 1,300 ScreenX and 4DX auditoriums globally, making it the first Indian film to be released in the ScreenX format.

ScreenX provides a 270-degree viewing field by extending specific sequences onto the side walls of the auditorium. In contrast, the 4DX format offers physical immersion through motion-enabled seats and environmental effects such as wind, water, vibration, and scent.

The production features a cast including Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana. The film is produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, with music composed by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman.
