Ramayana film to receive simultaneous release in China this November

The upcoming epic adventure film ‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, is scheduled for a simultaneous release in China this November. Under the new title ‘Ramayana: The Legend of the Prince’, the film aims to expand its global footprint following the recent box office success of Sony Pictures’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ in the Chinese market.

The film is a two-part saga. The first installment is set to release in international markets, including China, on November 6, with an Indian release on November 8. The second part is planned for a Diwali 2027 release.

Actor Chetan Hansraj has revealed that he will portray seven different roles in the production. Originally cast as Raja Mali, Ravana’s maternal grandfather, Hansraj will also perform six additional characters created through motion-capture technology, including one of Ravana’s brothers and a demon.
