Rambam Health Care Campus Launches Digital Implant Engineering Center in Israel

Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel, has opened a Digital Implant Engineering Center in partnership with EOS and PTC. The center integrates industrial‑grade metal 3D printing and PTC’s Creo CAD software to design and produce customized patient implants and medical devices on‑site, aiming to shorten development cycles and accelerate treatment timelines.

According to Dr. Michal Mekel, Director General of Rambam, the facility sets a new benchmark for point‑of‑care personalized medicine. EOS’s Chief Strategy Officer Nikolai Zaepernick highlighted the scan‑to‑print workflow that links clinical need with validated manufacturing processes. The center serves the hospital’s 1,100‑bed, northern‑Israel tertiary care population of 2.7 million residents, the Israeli Defense Forces Northern Command, UN peacekeepers and the U.S. Sixth Fleet, reducing reliance on external suppliers and enhancing patient care.
