Ramban: Two police officers found dead in car
Two police officers were found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a car in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday evening. The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob, both of whom were stationed at the District Police Lines in Ramban.
Local residents discovered the two men unconscious in a Fiat Vias vehicle parked at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote. They were rushed to the District Hospital Ramban, where medical professionals declared them dead upon arrival.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. While officials have not ruled out various possibilities, including potential suffocation or exposure to toxic gas, they have stated that a terror or militant angle has been ruled out at this stage. Forensic teams are collecting evidence, and a post-mortem examination is expected to provide further clarity on the incident.
