Ramen restaurants Shinbuta and Mugendai make local changes

In Yokosuka, the ramen restaurant Shinbuta is scheduled to close its Yokosuka Chuo branch on August 31, 2026. The establishment, located near Yokosuka-Chuo Station, has been a long-standing local fixture. Following a brief preparation period in early September, the location is expected to reopen under a new concept called ‘Yokosuka Otsuya,’ which will focus on ramen and fried rice.

Meanwhile, in Akashi, a new restaurant named ‘Ramen Mugendai’ opened on August 1, 2026. The shop offers soy sauce ramen featuring a pork-based soup with flavored oil, as well as salt ramen made with shellfish broth and shellfish oil.
