Ramgarh factory turbine blast kills three engineers

A massive turbine explosion and subsequent fire at the Maa Chhinnamastika Cement and Ispat Private Limited factory in Hehal, Ramgarh, killed three engineers and left one worker seriously injured. The incident occurred late Friday night in the plant's power unit.

The deceased have been identified as shift in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Kesari, 50, and engineers Vineet Mahto, 25, and Abhishek Pandey, 24. The injured worker, Tarun Rajwar, was hospitalized in Ranchi for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest the blast was caused by extreme overheating in the turbine's control panel. Witnesses and employees alleged that management had been notified about malfunctioning air conditioning in the control room and rising temperatures, but no corrective action was taken. Some reports indicate a similar turbine fire had occurred at the facility 20 days prior. Local authorities and factory inspectors have launched a formal inquiry to investigate potential safety violations and negligence.
