Ramiro Ferlatti to present ‘Quirófano’ book in Paraná

The book ‘Quirófano’, authored by oncological surgeon Ramiro Ferlatti and collaborator Gimena Villarraza, will be presented on Wednesday, September 16, at the Círculo Médico in Paraná, Argentina.

The work, which has been declared of provincial and municipal cultural interest, compiles approximately 30 stories detailing Ferlatti’s professional and personal journey. A specialist in head and neck surgery, Ferlatti trained at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and the Instituto de Oncología Ángel H. Roffo in Buenos Aires before becoming a regional reference in Entre Ríos for complex interventions.

Beyond his medical career, the book addresses personal challenges, specifically Ferlatti’s 2023 diagnosis with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The narratives explore the human dimension of medicine, including the relationships, decisions, and legacies left behind in and out of the operating room.
