Regional Mexican music star Ramón Ayala has announced a farewell concert at the Plaza de Toros México to mark his 72-year career. The 80-year-old artist, who has released 113 long-play albums and earned two Grammy and two Latin Grammy awards, plans to perform at the venue on October 10. The event, which has a capacity of 40,000 to 50,000 attendees, will feature his grandson Christopher on the accordion and may include guest appearances by artists such as Eduin Caz of Grupo Firme.
Ayala also intends to debut the song ‘El milagrito,’ written by Marco Antonio Solís, and plans to record the performance for a video release. His farewell tour has already seen significant success in the United States, with 27 sold-out arena shows.
During a press conference, Ayala addressed ongoing legal matters regarding sexual assault and harassment allegations against his son, Ramón Ayala Jr., in the United States. Both Ayala and his son have denied the accusations. Additionally, the singer spoke about his health, noting recent physical challenges and a lack of strength in his legs.
