Ramón Ayala farewell concert interrupted by sudden power cut

The farewell concert of norteño music icon Ramón Ayala, part of his ‘Historia de un final’ tour, ended abruptly on Saturday, October 10, at the Plaza de Toros La México in Mexico City. Attendees reported that the sound and lighting were suddenly cut off minutes before the scheduled end of the show, followed by instructions to evacuate the venue.

This interruption prevented the 80-year-old musician from offering a formal farewell to his fans. While rumors circulated that the Alcaldía Benito Juárez had ordered the shutdown, the local government denied involvement, attributing the decision entirely to the venue's production team.

Despite the controversial conclusion, the event featured notable guest performances from Eduin Caz and Banda El Recodo. Ayala, performing from a wheelchair, celebrated a career spanning over seven decades and 113 studio productions.
