Ramón Ayala Jr. surrenders to Texas authorities on sexual assault charges
Ramón Ayala Jr., son of the musician Ramón Ayala, voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Hidalgo County, Texas, following an arrest warrant for alleged sexual assault. The charge is considered a second-degree felony in the state. After his surrender on October 23, 2026, he was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
In addition to the criminal proceedings, Ayala Jr. faces three civil lawsuits filed by former members and employees of the musical group Ramón Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte. These lawsuits, represented by attorney Tony Buzbee and attorney Crystal del Toro, allege sexual assault, harassment, and workplace mistreatment occurring during musical tours between 2024 and 2025.
Legal representatives for the plaintiffs claim to have video evidence of misconduct. If convicted in the criminal case, Ayala Jr. could face a prison sentence ranging from two to 20 years. He maintains the presumption of innocence as the judicial process continues.
