Ramón Álvarez elected President of AMITI for 2026-2028

Ramón Álvarez Abreu has been appointed President of the Board of Directors for the Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry (AMITI) for the 2026-2028 term. He succeeds Pablo Gómez.

Álvarez, who currently serves as the President and CEO of Capgemini for North Latin America, brings over 25 years of experience in business consulting and information technology. His leadership aims to position AMITI as a vital link between the technology industry and various economic sectors to accelerate Mexico’s digital transformation.

Key objectives for his administration include continuing existing strategic projects such as ‘PyMEs Ciberseguras’ (Cybersecure SMEs), the AMITI Innovation Award, the Public Training Center in Artificial Intelligence, and the Artificial Intelligence and Data-Driven Innovation Roadmap. The goal is to foster sustainable innovation and strengthen the competitiveness of Mexico’s technological ecosystem.
