Ramo Isak: Federal Minister of Internal Affairs indicted for threatening security

Ramo Isak Zenica-Doboj Canton Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina threat to security Žepče Municipal Court

The Municipal Court in Žepče has confirmed an indictment against Ramo Isak, the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, for the criminal offense of threatening security under Article 183, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment was filed by the Zenica-Doboj Canton Prosecutor's Office. Following its protocol on October 19, 2026, the case was assigned to a judge for a preliminary hearing on October 23, who confirmed the indictment the same day. A hearing for Isak to enter a plea of guilt or innocence is scheduled for November 17, 2026, at 9:30 AM.

Isak has denied the allegations, claiming the charges are fabricated. He stated that he is actually the victim of threats directed at him and his family. He further noted that he had previously reported the individual involved for attempted bribery.

Separately, Isak has been questioned in the “Munjić and others” case, an investigation into corruption and organized crime led by the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office (POSKOK), which also involves Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.
