Ramona Verman finishes 10th in long jump at European Athletics Championships

Romanian athlete Ramona Verman finished 10th in the women's long jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. After qualifying for the final with a personal best jump of 6.81 meters, Verman recorded a jump of 6.51 meters in the final competition.

The gold medal was won by Italy's Larissa Iapichino with a jump of 7.00 meters. Jazmin Sawyers of Great Britain took the silver with 6.99 meters, and Hilary Kpatcha of France secured the bronze with 6.98 meters.

Other notable Romanian performances at the championships included Andrei Rareș Toader, who placed 5th in shot put, and Elena Andreea Taloș, who finished 7th in triple jump. In the men's marathon, Nicolae Alexandru Soare was forced to abandon the race at the 30 km mark.
