Cretin Family supergroup performs Ramones 50th anniversary tribute

A supergroup known as the Cretin Family performed a tribute concert at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ramones' self-titled debut album. The one-night-only event, held on August 30, was hosted by actor John Travolta and featured a 19-song set of punk classics.

The supergroup included Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Travis Barker (Blink-182), and CJ Ramone. The performance included various guest appearances from artists such as Billy Idol, The Linda Lindas, Fred Armisen, and Jason Freese. The setlist covered iconic tracks including ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’, ‘Rockaway Beach’, and ‘I Wanna Be Sedated’.

In addition to the musical performances, the event included a double screening of the films ‘Carrie’ and ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach’. The celebration also served a charitable purpose, with proceeds supporting David Agus MD Cancer Research at the Ellison Institute.
