Ramos Arizpe enhances public spaces and rehabilitation services
The municipal government of Ramos Arizpe, led by Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino, is advancing several urban improvement and social service projects. In coordination with the state government, the city is rehabilitating public plazas in the Haciendas III and Analco I neighborhoods. These works include installing synthetic grass, playground equipment, lighting, and improving sports courts at Plaza Santo Domingo and Plaza Armillita to foster community recreation.
Additionally, the Basic Rehabilitation Unit (UBR) of the DIF Ramos Arizpe has undergone significant upgrades. The facility expanded from three to five consultation rooms and received new therapeutic equipment, including electrostimulation machines and exercise bicycles. These improvements, supported by the Coahuila state government and Corporativo OXXO, have helped reduce patient waiting lists from 170 to approximately 30 people, providing expanded free services for individuals with disabilities.
