Ramos Arizpe implements recycling exchange program in Ejido Hipólito

Families in Ejido Hipólito and surrounding rural communities in Ramos Arizpe participated in the ‘Mercadito Pa’ Delante’ program, an initiative where residents exchange recyclable materials and unused items for essential goods.

Participants brought items such as PET, cardboard, glass, tires, and electronic devices to be weighed. The assigned points were then used to acquire food, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products. The program also provided residents with access to various state government services and administrative procedures.

The initiative was organized by DIF Coahuila in coordination with the municipal government of Ramos Arizpe and the municipal DIF. Local officials noted that the program aims to support family economies, promote environmental care, and prevent diseases by removing accumulated waste from residential areas.
