Ramos Arizpe implements road repairs and entrepreneurship programs

The municipal government of Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, is conducting extensive road maintenance and social development initiatives. Under the direction of Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino, municipal crews have been performing pothole repairs across 17 sectors. These works include residential neighborhoods such as El Mirador, Quinta Manantiales, and Blanca Esthela, as well as critical transit areas like the Saltillo-Monterrey highway and the local industrial park.

In addition to infrastructure improvements, the state and municipal governments have launched entrepreneurship programs to promote self-employment. In coordination with the Municipal DIF and ICATEC, more than 1,000 people have participated in 56 different productive workshops. These courses, which primarily target women, cover skills such as garment making, pastry, baking, beauty, and computing. Recently, 500 women received certificates of completion at the Eulalio Gutiérrez City Theater to recognize their new vocational skills.
