Ramos Arizpe industrial hub secures $890 million investment, creates 1,900 jobs

The municipality of Ramos Arizpe in southeast Coahuila, Mexico, is attracting major industrial expansion. New projects announced by companies such as Deacero, Daktronics, Waelzholz México, Infinitum Electric and Shanghai Yongmaotai Automotive Technology total about $890 million in investments and are projected to generate roughly 1,900 direct jobs in advanced manufacturing, steel production, electrical components and auto parts.

Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino highlighted the role of the state government under Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas in strengthening the region’s manufacturing and automotive sector, emphasizing the area’s infrastructure, location and skilled labour. General Motors de México also confirmed a new assembly plant at its Ramos Arizpe complex, slated to begin production of the Chevrolet Groove in 2027, followed later by the Chevrolet Aveo, targeting high‑demand segments of the Mexican market.
