Ramos Arizpe mayor drives infrastructure, transparency and fiscal discipline

The municipal government of Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, led by Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino with the backing of Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, is completing a range of public‑works projects. Works include the rehabilitation of Camino Real del Valle, upgrades to dozens of plazas across neighborhoods, new multi‑sport courts and the construction of health clinics that provide low‑cost medical services. The administration also expanded the municipal Command and Control Center equipped with video‑surveillance to improve public safety.

In parallel, the city achieved 100 percent compliance with public‑information obligations and saw its credit rating rise from HR A+ to HR AA‑ according to HR Ratings, reflecting strong financial discipline. Social programmes targeting seniors, people with disabilities, mothers and students continue through the municipal DIF system.
