Ramos Arizpe Mayor emphasizes education as driver for industrial growth
During recent graduation ceremonies at the Universidad Tecnológica de Coahuila (UTC), Ramos Arizpe Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino emphasized the role of higher education as a primary driver for the municipality's economic and social development.
Gutiérrez Merino highlighted the importance of the close relationship between educational institutions and the local industrial sector. He noted that this connection ensures young professionals possess the specialized skills required by the current labor market. The mayor stated that while attracting large companies has been a long-term goal, the new challenge is preparing local youth to lead, innovate within, and potentially create future businesses.
The municipal administration, supported by Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, maintains a development vision centered on education, security, infrastructure, and competitiveness to expand opportunities for local families.
