Ramos Arizpe mayor launches free student transport and promotes 2026 Ramos Fest

Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino announced that the municipal government of Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, will host the Ramos Fest 2026 from 28 to 30 August, inviting the neighboring city of Monclova to participate. The three‑day cultural event will feature traditional food fairs, an entrepreneurship exhibition, musical performances and a Lechón Fest competition with a cash prize of over 60,000 pesos.

In a separate ceremony, the mayor detailed the expansion of the free Student Transport Route, which will exceed 660,000 rides by the end of July. The 17‑kilometre service runs daily, connecting residential areas, industrial zones and schools, and includes air‑conditioned buses equipped with security cameras and information screens. The program aims to remove barriers to education and support families in the municipality.
