Ramos Arizpe readies parks and social aid programs for summer influx

The municipal government of Ramos Arizpe is preparing its main recreational sites—including the municipal Alameda area, the water mirror, Dinolandia museum and Aqua Ramos water park—for an expected rise in visitors during the summer holidays. Secretary Alejandro González Farías reported upgrades, maintenance work and increased security patrols in both urban and rural zones, along with traffic enforcement and permanent anti‑alcohol checkpoints to ensure safety.

At the same time, the municipal DIF is expanding social assistance to cope with the city’s rapid population growth. President‑honorary Teresita Escalante Contreras highlighted efforts to provide food, medical aid and services for seniors, especially in peripheral and irregular settlements such as Urbivilla, while seeking additional funding to bridge budget shortfalls.

Both initiatives aim to improve public services and community support as the municipality experiences heightened demand during the vacation season.
