Ramos Arizpe to host 2026 Festival de la Catrina
Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino has announced the 2026 Festival de la Catrina, Tamal Fair, and Pan de Pulque in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. The event is scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 1 at the Plaza de Armas.
Local authorities expect between 25,000 and 30,000 attendees, which is projected to generate approximately 2 million pesos in economic impact. The festival aims to preserve Mexican traditions and support local commerce, particularly for the upcoming December season.
The gastronomic program will feature 50 exhibitors, including 35 vendors of various tamales and 15 selling pan de pulque, alongside more than 30 female entrepreneurs. Activities are set to begin on Friday, October 30, with a 'callejoneada' parade starting at 18:30 from Allende Street to the Plaza de Armas.
