Ramp expands financial operations platform to the United Kingdom

New York-based financial operations platform Ramp has officially launched its services in the United Kingdom, marking its first major expansion beyond North America. This move follows the company’s entry into Canada in July 2026.

The expansion was facilitated by Ramp’s February acquisition of the payments firm Billhop, which provided the necessary regulatory authorizations from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and Swedish authorities to operate across the UK and the European Union. This allows UK and EU-based businesses to onboard directly without requiring a US entity.

Ramp’s London-based operations will provide corporate cards, bill payments, procurement, travel management, bookkeeping, and AI-enhanced financial controls. The company aims to address rising complexities in corporate finance, specifically targeting the management of artificial intelligence spending, which has seen significant increases for many customers.

Early UK clients include the AI voice synthesis company ElevenLabs and the CRM startup Attio. Ramp recently closed a $750 million funding round in June 2026, valuing the company at $44 billion, with capital earmarked for enhancing AI spend visibility.
