Ramy Sabry withdraws from Arab Music Festival amid Opera House leadership changes

Singer Ramy Sabry has announced his withdrawal from the 34th edition of the Arab Music Festival. Sabry stated that his decision follows the discovery of a video involving the President of the Cairo Opera House, which he deemed inappropriate regarding the treatment of artists and stars. He expressed his solidarity with senior musicians and artists in making this decision.

Concurrently, Dr. Reda El-Wakil, President of the Cairo Opera House, has announced his resignation from the position. Despite the controversy and the withdrawal of several stars, El-Wakil confirmed that the 34th Arab Music Festival will proceed as scheduled, featuring participation from Egyptian artists and staff of the Opera House.
