Ran Neuner predicts social trading apps will replace crypto exchanges

Ran Neuner, founder and CEO of Crypto Banter, predicts that social trading apps could eventually replace traditional cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance. Neuner suggests that platforms combining social networking with trading capabilities will offer a more engaging user experience than conventional exchanges.

He identified the app FOMO, which allows users to follow other traders and receive purchase alerts, as a primary model for this shift. Neuner noted that previous social trading attempts by brokers such as Robinhood and eToro were limited by Nasdaq trading hours and know-your-customer requirements. However, he argues that tokenized stocks mitigate these constraints by allowing for continuous, 24/7 trading.

Neuner also cited high revenue generation from crypto apps as evidence of a real bull market, alongside the rise of AI agents transacting on blockchain networks. He noted that platforms such as Hyperliquid and Pump.fun have generated significant daily revenue, with Hyperliquid earning approximately $55.2 million over a 30-day period ending September 27.
