Rana Sanaullah urges political unity to combat terrorism

Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, has stated that the Prime Minister is ready to engage in dialogue with all political parties to address the terrorism situation in Pakistan. Speaking during a Senate session, Sanaullah noted that while the provincial government in Balochistan is cooperating fully with the federal government, the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been difficult due to a lack of provincial cooperation.

Sanaullah expressed confidence that terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could be eliminated within months rather than years, specifically aiming for a resolution within six months. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies are making significant sacrifices to combat the threat.

Regarding political tensions, Sanaullah addressed comments made by Maulana Fazlur Rehman. While acknowledging Rehman's right to his political stance, he urged senior leaders to support the war against terrorism rather than linking it to other political issues. He also mentioned ongoing friction with Opposition Leader Mahmood Achakzai regarding parliamentary protocols.
