The short clip shows Kapoor drawing a bow and fighting a demon and quickly went viral on X and other platforms. Fans claimed it was an unauthorized leak from a trailer screened at CinemaCon and demanded that the filmmakers take action.

The film’s producers have not confirmed the footage’s authenticity; some observers suggested it could be AI‑generated. Producer Namit Malhotra earlier said the team is listening to audience feedback after the April teaser. “Ramayana” is planned for release in two parts, with Part I scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part II for Diwali 2027.
