Ranbir Kapoor to film Brahmastra 2 following Ramayana

Production for the sequel to the mythological film ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ is reportedly moving into the scripting and pre-production phases. Director Ayan Mukerji is planning to expand the ‘Astraverse’ with the upcoming ‘Brahmastra 2’.

Ranbir Kapoor is expected to reprise his role and will reportedly take on a dual role, portraying both Dev and Shiva. Kapoor is scheduled to begin filming in April 2027, following the completion of his work on Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ in January 2027. Alia Bhatt is also expected to return as Isha.

Additionally, discussions are reportedly underway to cast Deepika Padukone in a pivotal role as a character named Amruta. The production team is seeking an actor with ‘immense gravitas’ for the part, though official confirmation remains dependent on timeline alignments.
