Rancagua authorities re-close illegal gambling casino

Authorities in Rancagua, Chile, have closed a gambling casino that had been under a closure order since 2023. The discovery was made during a joint patrol by the Municipality of Rancagua and the Carabineros de Chile as part of the ‘Volvamos al Centro’ initiative.

During the inspection, officials found the establishment operating in violation of the existing closure. The administrator, a Chinese national, was caught in flagrante delicto and has been placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office. The municipal government emphasized that these coordinated efforts aim to strengthen security and recover public spaces by targeting businesses operating outside of legal regulations.
