Rancagua receives 406 new homes through urban regeneration projects
The Chilean government has delivered 406 new homes in the northeastern sector of Rancagua, aimed at urban regeneration and reducing the housing deficit. The delivery includes 290 apartments in the Altos de Mackenna complex and 116 units from stages I and V of the Condominio El Sol project.
These initiatives, driven by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, occupy land from the former Vicuña Mackenna settlement. Notably, the Condominio El Sol project represents the first industrialized high-rise housing development in the O’Higgins region, utilizing the BauMax system where concrete walls and slabs are produced under controlled conditions and assembled on-site.
