Ranchi police arrest man for wife's murder

Police in Ranchi have arrested Sukra Lohra for the murder of his wife, Savita Sanga. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred in May when Sanga traveled to Chhattisgarh to visit her husband, who is a soldier stationed there with the Tripura Rifles.

According to authorities, a dispute arose between the couple on May 15, leading Lohra to kill Sanga. He subsequently disposed of her body in a river in Chhattisgarh. The crime remained undiscovered for approximately four months as Lohra allegedly misled Sanga’s family regarding her whereabouts. The investigation was initiated after Sanga’s sister filed a police report following a prolonged period of no contact.
