Ranchi police seize banned cough syrup and arrest three

Ranchi police have arrested three individuals following a large-scale seizure of banned cough syrup. During a raid in a secluded area near Caring Hands Hospital in the Ratu police station area, authorities recovered 570 bottles of Wings Onerex Codeine cough syrup, totaling 100ml per bottle, along with three mobile phones.

The suspects, identified as Wahajul Ansari from Latehar district, Shahnawaz Ansari from Ranchi, and Naim Ansari from Ranchi, were reportedly attempting to deliver the syrup in five cartons. According to police, the group intended to sell the restricted substance at high prices across various locations in Ranchi.

Law enforcement is currently investigating the broader network to identify other involved parties and determine the original source of the illegal supply.
