Ranchos begins construction of Barrio Néstor Kirchner housing project
Construction has begun on the Barrio Néstor Kirchner in Ranchos, Argentina. The project, funded through the Bonaerense II – Solidaridad con Municipios program, involves an investment of approximately $2.34 billion pesos.
The development will consist of 23 homes, each measuring 60 square meters and featuring a kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The project is being implemented under Provincial Law 14.449 regarding Just Access to Habitat, utilizing a land generation policy established by the municipal administration.
Public Works Secretary Luciano Lorenzín stated that the works are expected to be completed within 18 months. The initiative aims to boost employment within the construction sector, which has recently faced declines in both public and private activity. To date, 147 homes have been completed in the General Paz District using this specific land and construction policy.
