Randeep Hooda Leads Flood Relief Efforts in Assam
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda traveled to Assam’s Golaghat district after taking part in flood‑relief operations across the state. He visited Sarupothar village, the home of his longtime helper Sagar Limbu, describing the settlement as “heaven on earth” and noting its reputation for producing athletes such as Olympian boxer Lovlina Borgohain. Hooda’s on‑ground work included distributing aid with the humanitarian group Global Sikh in flood‑hit districts like Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Nagaon, where more than 1.78 lakh people were stranded.
Hooda’s partner, actress Lin Laishram, has also been highlighted for jointly supporting relief, wildlife conservation and forest restoration projects. Their combined efforts illustrate a focus on using public platforms for community service during the severe Assam floods.
