Randers man remanded in custody for aggravated assault

A 26-year-old man has been remanded in custody following an incident in central Randers on Thursday. He is charged with aggravated assault against a 31-year-old man.

The incident occurred around 12:20 PM at an apartment on Vestergade. According to East Jutland Police, the 31-year-old victim had arrived at the residence uninvited, leading to a disturbance on the landing where he subsequently fell down a flight of stairs.

Police officials stated that the victim was critically injured and likely would not survive. While it remains unclear if the victim was pushed, authorities are conducting investigations at the scene to clarify the exact circumstances of the fall. The suspect has chosen not to appeal the custody order.
