Randwick horse racing features Winx Stakes and Toy Show Quality

Major horse racing events are set to take place at Randwick this Saturday, featuring high-stakes Group 1 and Group 3 races.

In the Winx Stakes (1400m), Autumn Glow enters as the favorite following a strong performance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. She faces competition from Sheza Alibi, a champion of the Randwick Guineas and Doncaster. Jockey Nash Rawiller is also eyeing an upset with Beiwacht, a 1400m specialist described as “untapped” by trainer Chris Waller.

In the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1100m), trainer Matt Smith is entering the mare Prima Bella into her first stakes grade race. While Smith acknowledges the field may be tough for the six-year-old, he noted her strong form and potential to perform well if track conditions become heavy. Smith is also fielding Idle Flyer in the Winx Stakes.
