Randy Bachman reunited with missing guitar by B.C. music store owners

Music store owners in Langford, British Columbia, have successfully reunited Canadian rock legend Randy Bachman with a sentimental electric guitar that had been missing for over two decades.

Geoff Round and Laurie Zarr, owners of Alloy Music, purchased the instrument from an individual who was downsizing. The guitar was notable for its distinct appearance, featuring various glow-in-the-dark stickers on the body and headstock. Through online research and image searches, Zarr was able to trace the instrument's history back to Bachman, the singer and songwriter for The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive.

Bachman confirmed the guitar was his, noting it had disappeared from his Salt Spring Island studio years ago. The couple returned the instrument to Bachman backstage at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on August 25, during a performance by The Guess Who. The guitar still retained original markings, including a label on the back reading ‘Calianne’.
