Cody Rhodes denies tension with Travis Scott after WWE incident

WWE superstar Cody Rhodes has dismissed rumors of backstage tension with rapper Travis Scott following their physical confrontation at Elimination Chamber 2025. During that event, Scott joined The Rock and a heel-turned John Cena in an attack on Rhodes, which included Scott slapping the then-champion.

Speaking on Complex’s ‘Sneaker Shopping’, Rhodes clarified that there was “never any heat” between them and expressed interest in seeing Scott return to WWE programming. Rhodes shared a previously untold story regarding the incident in Toronto, noting that while he was being attacked, his watch came off. He credited Scott for recovering the expensive item and ensuring it was returned to him backstage, describing the gesture as “man stuff” and “pro.”

Rhodes also joked that while he had previously suggested Travis Scott sneakers might be banned from his home, his wife, Brandi Rhodes, has continued to wear them.
