Range Rover Electric debuts with 550 PS and 600 km range

Jaguar Land Rover has officially unveiled the Range Rover Electric, the first fully electric model in the brand’s history. Produced at the Solihull facility in the United Kingdom, the luxury SUV is expected to enter the market as part of the 2027 model year rollout.

The vehicle features a 118.5 kWh battery and an 800-volt architecture, supporting DC rapid charging of up to 350 kW. This allows for a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 22 minutes. The model offers a WLTP range of up to 600 km, with an estimated real-world range of around 535 km.

Performance specifications include dual electric motors delivering up to 550 PS and 850 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in roughly 4.3 to 4.5 seconds. Despite its electrification, the SUV retains off-road capabilities, including a 900 mm wading depth and advanced traction management systems capable of handling gradients up to 45 degrees.

Market availability and pricing vary by region. In Greece, prices start at €175,804, sometimes proving more cost-effective than equivalent internal combustion engine models. In the UK, the electric version offers significant Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) tax advantages for company car drivers compared to plug-in hybrids. A waiting list has also been established for interested buyers in Brazil.
