Range Rover Evoque production ends in Brazil

The Range Rover Evoque has ceased production at the JLR factory in Itatiaia, Brazil. However, the model may return to the Brazilian market as an import from the United Kingdom.

JLR is currently evaluating its strategy to focus on higher-end, more expensive luxury models, such as the Range Rover Sport and Defender. João Henrique Garbin, CEO of JLR for Brazil and Latin America, stated that the company produced enough units through June to meet expected demand for the remainder of the year. While local assembly has been interrupted, the availability of the model in dealerships depends on whether the company decides to transition to an import model from its Halewood facility.
