Range Rover GT unveiled as fifth all‑electric model

Range Rover GT EMA platform all‑electric Halewood plant grand tourer

Range Rover has confirmed the addition of a fifth model – the Range Rover GT – as its first fully electric grand‑tourer. Built on Jaguar Land Rover’s new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform, the GT will be assembled at the Halewood plant in the United Kingdom. Its low, coupe‑style body and reduced ride height mark a radical departure from the brand’s traditional SUV shape, while retaining all‑terrain capability. Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist layout with a single central infotainment screen, a digital driver‑display, hidden full‑width air vents and woven‑textile trim. The vehicle will launch as a battery‑electric model later this year, with a hybrid version slated for a later stage of its lifecycle. Martin Limpert, Range Rover managing director, described it as “the most car‑like, yet unmistakably a Range Rover”. Prototypes are currently completing road tests in camouflage inspired by the Gaydon landscape, with further technical details to be released before the end‑year rollout.
