Range Rover unveils new electric GT model

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has released new details regarding the Range Rover GT, the fifth model in the brand's lineup. Positioned as a traditional grand tourer rather than a standard SUV, the vehicle features a lower center of gravity and improved aerodynamics compared to existing models.

The Range Rover GT will be the first model to utilize JLR's new Electric Modular Architecture (EMA). It is scheduled to launch initially as a pure battery electric vehicle, with hybrid powertrain options planned for later in its lifecycle. Production is set to take place at the Halewood plant in the United Kingdom.

Testing for the vehicle has spanned multiple regions, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the Nürburgring in Germany, to refine long-distance comfort and handling. While the vehicle adopts a sleeker, coupe-like silhouette, JLR aims to maintain class-leading off-road capabilities and rear passenger legroom. The interior design focuses on minimalism, featuring a large central display, hidden air vents, and a driver-centric layout designed to reduce visual and auditory clutter.
