Rangers agree $13m deal for Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy

Rangers have agreed to a transfer deal with MLS club Portland Timbers to sign Venezuelan international striker Kevin Kelsy. The fee is reported to be approximately $13 million (£9.5 million) plus add-ons, which includes a sell-on clause for Portland.

The 22-year-old forward, described as a physical and athletic player, is expected to travel to Glasgow to undergo a medical and finalize personal terms once visa documentation is approved. This move would make Kelsy the second-most expensive signing in Rangers' history, trailing only Tore Andre Flo’s £12 million transfer in 2000.

Kelsy has been a productive presence for the Timbers, recording 10 goals and three assists in 23 appearances this season. The signing is seen as a strategic move by manager Derek McInnes to bolster the team's attacking options.
