Rangers and Flyers rookies to face off in Allentown series

The New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers rookie prospects are set to compete in a two-game Rookie Series at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Rangers' rookie camp recently held practices at their Westchester facility under Hartford Wolf Pack coach Jay Leach. While defensemen Artem Gonchar and Andre Mondoux, along with forward Aidan Thompson, were not cleared to practice, the team added 23-year-old defenseman William Trudeau to the group. The Rangers are expected to utilize Callum Tung and Danai Shaiikov in goal for the upcoming weekend matchups.

The Flyers' roster for the series features several players who saw NHL action last season, including Porter Martone, Denver Barkey, and Alex Bump. Jett Luchanko, who has played in both the regular season and playoffs, is expected to center the forward group. On the defensive side, the Flyers are utilizing pairings such as Maksim Sokolovskii and Oliver Bonk, alongside Ty Murchison and Spencer Gill.
