Rangers de Talca faces administrative and sporting crisis

Rangers de Talca is facing a severe institutional and sporting crisis. The club is currently struggling in the Primera B Chile, with a record of only six points out of 60, making relegation appear likely.

Administratively, shareholder José Luis Fernández Urselay is reportedly set to leave the club and relinquish his shares, disrupting a three-year project established earlier this year. The squad is also undergoing significant changes; defender Sebastián Silva has departed by mutual agreement following a controversy involving a video of him purchasing alcohol before a match. Silva is the third player to leave the club this year.

In addition to internal instability, Rangers has filed a formal complaint with the ANFP against San Marcos de Arica, alleging administrative irregularities. San Marcos's sports manager, Fernando Zapata, has dismissed the accusations as “manotazos de ahogado” (a drowning man's grasp), characterizing the complaint as a desperate move by a struggling team.
